Historias Del LLano

This work is inspired by Juan Rulfo, a Mexican writer who captured the spirit of Mexico after the Revolution of 1910. His book El llano en llamas and Pedro Páramo evoke the nostalgia of rural towns like Comala -a beautiful white town in the state of Colima where Paula grew up. The images in this series work as short stories inspired by her memories of these places. Doors, windows and interstitial spaces represent the passageways into the magical and mystical Mexico of Juan Rulfo’s stories.
